This weekend was pretty awesome-I enjoy expensive sushi and apple contraptions with new friends. However, I am slightly unsettled. Everytime I go walking, I pass places that my memories are attached to, and it got me to thinking: What/who am I waiting for? What is it about me that tends to get bored fairly fast? And why does everything always end up so uncomfortably? Well blah. On a side note, I've started using again. "Boys and Girlssss, Boys And Girlssss"
So I saw my coworker Steve at a show tonight. It turns out, he was the cello player in one of the bands. I think, "thats cool, Steve is in a band-who knew?". Then I glance at him again, only this time, he's wearing a beige corderoy jacket and not a blue 100% cotton tee. "Woah!" I say aloud. Steve has a twin and he's the drummer of the band and he's wearing a beige corderoy jacket. They play they play they play, and theres a guy dancing in the front row. Oh man, I think to myself, Steve got off stage and is dancing. But wait, the cello is still playing, Steve's on stage. "What?" I say aloud. Steve and his twin have another twin! Oh man Steve, you really got me good. Also Encrypt Manuscript-I think I'll stick to listening to them on CD. Brian needs to take his medicine (and stop unplugging himself every other minute...) But they had good pants. Lastly, the violin player of KissKiss is in a side project band called Skeleton something. They weren't bad. And I don't know how Ian and I will ever find an apartment when we have no addresses and only balloons to show us the way... Current Mood: touchedCurrent Music: Rilo Kiley: A Man/Me/Then Jim |

I Can Find A Lot Of Women Who Will Blow Your Wages.
Last night I was really into partying and causing mischief, but after finishing a junior sized bottle of Jameson with Mike, I almost fell asleep standing up. It seemed to be a brilliant idea to walk behind Mike and Anna and then eventually turn around without telling them and just walk home. I get a phone call at 11:30 (a good while later) from Anna. "Hey, where are you?" me: "sleeping" anna: "oh, well, okay-see you later then." Also I'm about to falll asleep right now, and it's early. Perhaps I have contracted mononucleosis, which brings me to my next point: I think things with this sculptor boy just aren't going to work out. The other day in class, we were strangely but discomfortingly bereft of things to say to one another. I think it's the beginning of the end...Ah well. "Elliott, Whip Me!"
Woah. Last night was crazizzle. 40 dollars later, I'm only slightly incensed. My patron crush gave me his phone number! I am awesome. Anna smoked a cigarette. I am appalled and excited. I decoded the lies of two dumb hipster kids from Boston. ("We only have pretentious indie pop dance parties" what do you dance to? "I dunno, Elliott Smith, Moogs...") I am indifferent. I met the infamous Nick and Jayson. I am intrigued and elated. My homefries were cold. I am gloomy and predatory. I wonder if I can categorize all of my feelings according to livejournal moods. I am quixotic and jubilant. And done. Current Mood: recumbentCurrent Music: DEVO |

Denise Fulham for Senate!
Today I went to see "Kika" at my place of employment. I love Victoria Abril, but I'll be damned if that wasn't the weirdest role I've ever seen anyone play in any movie ever (this excludes Frances of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, who is, needless to say, in a class all of his own...) I made bus reservations for Thursday, and have been actively planning (albeit not fiscally...) my trip out of the country, as soon as time allows for it. I also finished another book, and now I'm on to Stephen Elliott's "Happy Baby", which has a riveting first twenty pages. I think I'll read on...Basically I am marveling at what 12 credits, 2 days a week, can do for one's out-of-class curiosity! Tonight I am going to Shabbat and then probably getting drunk, sans purple wristband! Mothatruckas. PS I miss Team Elmo. Current Mood: energeticCurrent Music: Chromeo: Needy Girl |

Ignacio, Hand Me My Lipstick!
Today I went to see Almodovar's "Bad Education". It didn't star Victoria Abril, but it did have Gael Garcia Bernal in it, who I think, despite his dynamite appearance, is actually a great actor, and I'm glad that he isnt two things: a pin-up in Baby Bop Magazine, and star of a teen comedy about the last week of high school and all of its accompanying crazy antics. Plus I really like how he will shamelessly get naked for viewers. Anyway, this movie, and Almodovar in general, hit my list of favorites. I like how his films don't always have to be a comment on the decreasingly acceptable state of the world. My next movie is going to be "The Downfall", because I'm becoming obsessed with my German Film class, and the teacher told us to check it out. I'm so excited. Also today, I ran into an ex-classmate of mine who I have a kind of awkward relationship with. But I think that he brought it completely on himself-I wasn't about to make things awkward at all. Maybe he was high-I don't know. It's all very silly. I wish he wouldn't take what happened so seriously... Right now I'm at Water Street because Mike lured me here with the promise of french toast, peaches, and marshmallow fluff. Oh dear. Current Music: Bloc Party: Like Eating Glass |

Today was SO Livejournal worthy...basically, Mike and I went to get snowboard pants, got the coolest albums at the coolest record store in the city, and I experienced both Cosi and City Bakery for the first time EVER. I could throw up I was so happy. Then we graced Water Street with our presence and Mike learned "Naked As We Came" in about 5 seconds. When I become a superhero and my given skill is "taking things from people", I am going to take his guitar skills. Besides, guys only want girlfriends who have skillssssss. John's in town, but I need to get up at 5am tomorrow to go snowboarding-what to do, what to do... Current Mood: happyCurrent Music: Iron And Wine: Radio War |

Tonight: TV Guide: 8 pm. 7th Heaven. Subject: Pregnancy. I do not enjoy unrequited AFC Patron love. I will soon be executed at the hands of Limewire International for my irradical rampant music theft. I want to be H. Duff's hipster-in-training protege. Last night I sampled the finest Japanese Cuisine ever. Better than Mt. Fungi. I'm totally taking all of my future visitors there instead of Cosmic Cantina from now on. Mike wore the shorts again-I'm afraid he's going to steal them from me. He also gave a me a manicure, so now when I type I don't go "clack-clack-clack", only "tap-tap-tap". Ian has really lovely, accepting, friendly friends and Friday was une blast. Alana And Meghan throw bitchin parties. Rob Kornblum is on a diet. And also I've got a bone to pick with all these self righteous college kids protesting Valentine's Day. It's only a Hallmark fabricated holiday if you go out and buy a Hallmark card, and seriously if anyone ever bought me a Hallmark card to express their love, I'd severely second guess their ability to be a good person. Being in love is as lovely as being born, and we have a day devoted to that! I think its wonderful to be able to celebrate merely because you have love in your life. So there. Anna Lascurain, Will You Marry Me?
Two good things: Owen is playing a show in April in Farmingdale! I wouldn't miss it for the world... and Jesse and I are going to HOLE tomorrow night maybe. Which means it's the weekend, which is the only reason I've stayed at school. It couldn't have come too soon... TEAM ELMO IN DA HOUSE MOTHATRUCKASSSSS
Last night was crazy I think, Karl actually had a good party (not that I doubted him, but dorm parties aren't usually good/populated/fun/full of both Marci and Agatha Kluk...) He told everyone that I was his twin sister, so when I got there he made a huge announcement and everyone was coming up to me and saying things like "I totally see the resemblance!!!!". (Karl has red blonde hair and freckles....but whatever. Drunk people say things.) McDonalds was out of ice cream and cheeseburgers, so we came to 414 and had a massive sleepover. I got to wake up to the sweet sounds of Ian Bock's tender voice, and Mike definitely wore the proverbial shorts, bringing the count up to 2 and the shorts offer count up to 5 or 6. I appreciate a man who can cast his masculinity aside and don a pair of baby blue hot pants, especially if that man works at the AFC... Today I had my SVA class. It's going to be radical to the max. There are 6 of us, and 2 teachers, and this one guy in it is a sculptor with fabulous blue eyes and longggg wavy brown hair, and he really is the epitome of "beautiful". Next time I have class with him, I'm going to ask him if he's tired, and then say "You should be, cause you've been running through my mind all day." That should pretty much seal the deal.
